1. Cyrstal Maze Bachelorette Party

This is a super fun activity that involves 15 Quests and 47 challenges. It is based indoors and involves loads of different types of challenges ranging from mental to more physical ones. 2. The Cube Challenge Hen Do Party Package

The Cube is super fun and located in the town centre. It involves a number of challenges that really get the competitive juices going and super fun. The group is normally split into a number of teams, depending on group size and it lasts about 1.5-2 hours. None of the challenges are too physical of it suits pretty much everybody and it takes place in Lola Montez Nightclub during the day so full bar facilities and a great party atmosphere. The class we run includes 3 cocktails and 1 shot and last about 1.5-2 hours. All classes are held separately so you will have your own instructor. 4. True Detective Rescue the Groom Hen Party Package

This true detective is a CSI type activity that involves capturing of the groom and all the hens trying to find the groom using various clues. There is a bit of personalisation involved with this activity (like a mock video from the groom) which can go down well with the bride to be as it shows a real effort by the bridesmaids. 9. Clay Pigeon Shooting Hen Parties

Clay Pigeon Shooting is probably more popular with our stag group rather than for a hen's night, but it is nevertheless quite popular and something quite quirky. You would be amazed how good a shot the ladies have. The Hen and Stag Sligo went out to review the activity with a large mixed group and believe it or not the ladies came out top.

10. Coasteering Hen Parties

This is definitely one for the adrenaline-seeking hen party and given it can only be done in a couple of locations in Ireland, it is super unique. Don't worry about the cliff jumping side of things - our Hen and Stag team reviewed this activity and there were a wide variety of cliff edges to jump off. You didn't even have to jump off them really - there is enough adrenaline in maneuvering your way around them. We gave it a 5-star review.

11. Another Hen Party Idea On The Waves

Sligo is famous as a surf destination, so it needs to be in the top five of our activities to do. It's located only 10 minutes out of town and a great way to refresh yourself for a big night on Sligo Town. Yes, believe it or not, Hens on the Farm is one of our most popular hen night activities and safe to say it fit's into the 'different' category. 13. A Hen Do At The Races

It's not often that a major race meeting coincides with a big hen party weekend, but on this occasion it does!. The May Bank Holiday weekend has it's first race meeting of the year at Sligo and it is massive for hen and stag parties alike. It's a great excuse to get the glad rags on early in the day. There are a lot of hen party accessory & hen party supplies websites available on the web through a simple search. Sometimes it is better to start with a local store so you can see what the accessory looks like on you rather than on a model. In general, with most of the hen party hotspots throughout the country, you'll be fine with most outfits/accessories Certain high-end restaurants will not be as accommodating as others so be careful here.

Are there any companies you recommend for organizing our transfers to Sligo?

What are other locations in Ireland that are good for hen party idea?

There are a couple of locations in Ireland that are really popular with bachelorette parties if you decide not to choose Sligo. Some other popular locations include Carrick on Shannon, Galway, Kilkenny, Westport and Athlone. There are similar hen party ideas for each of these locations and you'll be sure to bump into plenty of other hen parties. If you look beyond Ireland, there are any amount of locations that are very popular in the UK and further afield. Locations like Bristol, Newcastle, Manchester and Liverpool are real hotspots for a hen's night for those crossing over to the UK.

Have we any tips when planning a hen party?

Always include an activity. It can be a long day if you don't include some sort of activity during the day and it can sometimes be a recipe for disaster if you don't because inevitably, the ladies will start drinking too early and before you know it, there are a couple worse for wear early in the day.
Try to choose an activity that suits the group. Think of the age profile of the group and what they all like. There are heaps of options from surfing and coasteering for the adrenaline junkies to flower crown making and the cube. Feel free to call a member of our team to get our advice - always picking our brain on what activity to choose.
BE ON TIME!. It's very easy to get delayed for activities and meals with unscheduled bus stops etc. It's important to realize that failing to be on time for certain activities/meals can sometimes lead to activities/meals being reduced in time and in some cases even canceled. So be sure to try your best to be on time and always communicate any delays as soon as they arise and our weekend team can do their best to make adjustments.
Book your party well in advance. It's not uncommon for parties to book with us over a year in advance!. Yes, some parties are quite organized but they realize that availability is limited, particularly on the peak weekends like Irish and UK Bank Holidays. If you plan on having your party on one of these weekends - do book in advance. Some weekends like the May Bank Holiday are very difficult to secure accommodation on.
